Prime thinkers was set up in 2007 by Maurice Collins OBE. The concept was simple. Bring together a group of successful business experts who would be willing to help others by sharing their knowledge and helping to develop creative ideas for business, charities and the voluntary section. At the same time, use the scheme to help raise money for and awareness of London-based charity, Kith & Kids.
When someone wants to brainstorm a business issue, they contact us to arrange a session. Prior to that, we ask for a brief synopsis on the business and the issues it faces, which is passed to the thinkers ahead of the session. At the start of the session, the presenter has ten minutes to talk about the area they wish cover and take questions from the panel. The panel then generates a wide variety of ideas from their diverse perspectives. The session ends with a summary by the Chair.
The first Prime thinkers group meeting was held in a small café in London, creating an informal and productive environment for both the client to present their problem and the group to brainstorm ideas which might offer a solution.
Today, there are two Prime thinkers groups: one based in North London, the second operating out of East London. Both deliver two sessions per meeting. All Prime thinkers give their time voluntarily and all fees are donated in their entirety to the disability charity Kith & Kids. All monies raised are matched by Prime thinkers’ sponsor, North London-based Chartered Accountants, Grunberg & Co
